Mr. Larry T. Muhammad was elected 2nd Vice President of Local 241 in 2005. Mr. Muhammad began his career with the Chicago Transit Authority in 1981, as a bus operator at Forest Glen Garage. Mr. Muhammad became a strong union activist upon his return from the first layoff of full time bus operators CTA has ever had. His strong commitment to the local inspired Mr. Muhammad to seek the position of Executive Board Member in 1996 during a special election at the Chicago Avenue Garage. Mr. Muhammad claimed the victory and continued to proudly serve the members for two terms. Mr. Muhammad is a family man and celebrates his 22nd wedding anniversary on February 14, 2007. Mr. Muhammad's experience includes working with three former President-Business Agents. His knowledge and dedication to the members of this local is evident and has created a bond that cannot be broken.

► Local 241 Representatuve for the Areas 605 and 629 members
► Oversight Committee for the Area TRTW (Transition Return To Work Program)
► Field Representative for General Office and 901 Division members
► Pace West Pension Board Member
